Three hurt in grain elevator fire

Three people were injured near Brooks on Wednesday as crews fought to extinguish a blaze at a grain elevator.

Brooks RCMP, firefighters and utility workers were dispatched the area west of the city at about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. A release from the

Mounties states three people were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Firefighters were still engaged in the late afternoon in fire suppression activity. Occupational Health and Safety Officials were on site in the afternoon to investigate the fire.
