Dangerous suspects arrested after stolen car flees from collision scene

Medicine Hat Police have two men in custody after a multi-vehicle collision that took place in the city’s southeast on Thursday.

The collision happened at 11th Street and 4th Avenue SE, but the primary vehicle fled the scene before police could arrive.

Police investigators were informed that the vehicle was stolen during a robbery with a firearm in Calgary. The two men were believed to be armed and dangerous.

An investigation led police to a duplex on Southlands Boulevard. The tactical team spent a few hours outside the house before getting both suspects out and safely into custody.

MHPS Major Crimes is investigating the incident and will release more information at a later date.
