Better known for his work as an actor, James D’Arcy (“Agent Carter”) wrote and made his feature directorial debut with this engaging 2020 comedy-drama starring Liam Neeson as a celebrated artist who tries to reconnect with his estranged son (played by Neeson’s real-life son, Micheál Richardson) while the two of them are in Italy to repair and sell a home that belonged to the former’s late wife. Valeria Bilello, Lindsay Duncan and Marco Quaglia also star.

Oscar, Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner Regina King (“Watchmen”) adds another career achievement to her credits by hosting this venerable late-night comedy series for the first time. The gig will mark a return to comedy for King, who got her start 35 years ago as a teenager on the sitcom “227.” Also making his “SNL” debut as the night’s featured musical guest is singer-songwriter Nathaniel Rateliff, whose latest single “Redemption” follows his acclaimed 2020 solo album “And It’s Still Alright.”

Beloved middle-school teacher Kerri Fox (Laura Vandervoort) assigns a class project in which her young students get to create and run their own small business. One of the kids, precocious 13-year-old Clara (Mia Quaranta De La Rosa) decides to launch a matchmaking service, somewhat to the dismay of her newly single father, David (Nicholas Gonzalez). After a couple of successful matches, Clara decides to set her “professional” sights on her dad and her favorite teacher, who also just happens to be back on the dating market, in this 2021 romance.
