Call To The Community For Emergency Food Donations

-

Emergency Food Services have never been more essential in our region than at this moment. The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has eliminated jobs and put more residents in a position of food insecurity than this city has seen in years. Thanks to community supporters, the Root Cellar Food & Wellness Hub has been able to step up to the plate.

We have been providing emergency food to record numbers of community members; however, our food inventory is depleting quickly.

Everyone has felt the impact of increased costs for basic needs such as groceries and utilities. This inflation has put additional pressure on the most vulnerable in our community, pushing financially stretched households into food insecurity.

The issue of food scarcity is further exacerbated by the current shortages experienced by suppliers. The Root Cellar has incredible partnerships with local grocery stores that allow us to purchase large amounts of food at bulk prices. However, even our partners are feeling the pinch with limited inventory.

How You Can Help:

With the generous help of our community, the Root Cellar will continue to be a warm and welcoming place that keeps Hatter’s fed.

If you are able to donate, the following options would make the biggest impact:

●Cattle donation through our Cattleman’s Program for Ranchers

● Corporate or Organizational fundraisers on the Root Cellars behalf
