At this point in her life, still-single Cate James (Tori Anderson) wryly considers herself a “professional bridesmaid,” but that doesn’t mean she’s not excited to help her best friend, Maxine (Eva Tavares) plan her upcoming nuptials. Fortunately, for once her willingness to take the high road may actually pay off, however, after she meets Matt (Sean Poague), the bride’s handsome brother, who has come back home for his sister’s big day. Scott Harlow and Adam Beauchesne co-star in this 2022 romantic comedy.

Best known for his comedy work, Jason Sudeikis (“Ted Lasso”) puts on his “serious actor” hat for this intense 2021 drama, a longtime passion project from director and screenwriter Aharon Keshales, who describes his movie as “a love story that got stuck in a Sam Peckinpah action-thriller.” Sudeikis stars as a convicted felon who wins an early release and vows to give his cancer-stricken childhood love (Evangeline Lilly) the best last year of her life.
