U17AAA SEAC Tigers pick up two weekend wins

The Medicine Hat U17AAA SEAC Tigers won both of their contests over the weekend.

The South East Athletic Club Tigers opened the weekend with a 4-1 win Friday over the St. Albert Raiders Flyers.

Colby Gulliver scored twice with an assist and both Karter Kurpjuweit and Randen Collier added a goal and an assist. Kayne Wright made 23 saves in the win.

They carried the momentum into Saturday, with a 4-2 win over the Calgary Bulls. Again Gulliver scored twice and both of Treydon Kleinknech­t and Grady Ford found twine. Kolter Gans made 35 saves in the victory.

The U17AAA Tigers (15-111) have one game this weekend, hosting the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Friday at the Hockey Hounds arena.

U16

The U16AA Hounds had one game Sunday, a 5-2 loss to the West Central Panthers.

Jaxon Bohrn and Colton Pluta each scored and Kayden Van Ham made 39 saves.

Medicine Hat’s U16AA Hounds (5-21-2) have two road games this week.

U15

The U15AAA SEAC

Tigers had two games, splitting their weekend slate.

They lost 5-4 Friday to the Parkland Saints. Carson Ward had two goals and two assists, Illya Khazov tallied a goal and two assists and Rhyder Arnold had a goal and an assist in the loss. Paxton Smigelski made 36 saves.

The Tigers bounced back Sunday with an 8-6 win over the Calgary Bisons.

Ward and Khazov each tallied three goals and two assists for dual five-point nights.

Ethan Grad and Curtis Martin each tallied a solo marker and Sasha Shushkov made 35 saves.

The U15AAA SEAC Tigers (8-17-2-1) have two home games this weekend against the Airdrie Xtreme on Saturday and Sunday.

The U15AA Tigers had one game over the weekend, a 4-2 win Saturday

the East Kootenay Avalanche.

Dane Friedt had two goals with an assist, Chase Droeske tallied a goal and an assist and Chase Murphy scored a solo marker. Conner Aldag made 35 saves in the win.

The U15AA SEAC Tigers (14-13-3) have two games this weekend, hosting the Central Alberta Selects on Saturday.

U13

Medicine Hat’s U13AA Hounds won their only contest, a 3-1 victory over the Red Deer Wesco.

Carter Jarvis had two goals and Macen Ibach tallied a solo marker in the win, Hunter Munro made 27 saves.

The U13 Hounds (18-8-3) have two road games this weekend.

U18

The U18AA Hounds took care of business with a 2-0 shutout Saturday over the CNHA Gold.

Parker McLaughlin made 14 saves for the shutout and Nolan Sutherland scored both of the Hounds’ goals.

The U18AA Hounds (8-155) have two road games this weekend.
