Volunteer as a Guider – it’s worth your time.

-

Girl Guides of Canada has volunteer opportunities for you to help create a better world, by girls. As a volunteer Guider, you’ll create a place where girls can just be themselves and have a front row seat as their strength and confidence grows week after week.

From trying out a DIY project to taking on a community service project to getting outdoors for a hike, there’s joy to be found in exploring the world with girls who are experiencing these activities for the first time. Your cup will be full as you become an influential part of girls’ lives and share in their laughter.

“You will make meaningful connections, invest in unbreakable bonds, and create a safe space where girls can learn new things and make new friends”, says Linda Gove, volunteer with Girl Guides.

Along with having the chance to lead girls, volunteering with Girl Guides provides a unique opportunity for you to build lasting friendships with other women in your community, across the country and around the world as part of the global Guiding movement. You’ll also develop skills that are highly valued in the workplace, such as communications, event planning and leadership skills.

We’re actively seeking women 18 years or older to volunteer to support groups of girls at all levels, including Sparks (ages 5 and 6), Embers (ages 7 and 8), Guides (ages 9 to 11), Pathfinders (ages 12 to 14), and Rangers (ages 15 to 17). You do not have to have a child in Girl Guides or any prior Guiding experience to join, just a desire to be part of our vision of a better world, by girls.
