At Bill 20. Premier being able to fire city mayors is unbelievably stupid. She doesn’t do her job as our current MLA, nor does she do a good job as premier. Never should she and her constituents be policing our voted-in council members and mayor. She is out of control. Speak up, people.

We are very fortunate our power plant made a good profit last year. With the way current administration is spending, can you imagine how bad our property tax increase will be if it has a bad year?

Ticked Off

It seem disrespectful and unprofessional that council and administration can not provide citizens with P-card expenditures.

Medicine Hat council meetings are currently having record people watching. It’s like watching a murder mystery with council’s incompetence.

Tickled Pink

To see how courteous the police have to be when removing protesters. Anyone who thinks this is violent should look back to protests in the 60s/70s and see how “courteous” the police were.

Wow, a new train line to Banff. That’s much more important than me getting a new doctor since mine is retiring. And I’m one of the lucky ones who has one. This provincial government is hilarious, jingle something

So, the editor gets hundreds of TOTP a week, and only comments on a couple. Then people don’t like his/her opinion when it’s what most readers are thinking. I think he/she is quite funny and like to see the comment this gets! (Editor’s note: Aww, thanks, Mom!)

The latest debacle in Parliament started when the speaker allowed the PM to avoid answering a question from the Opposition leader and made a personal attack instead. This resulted in a response in kind. All three of them are at fault. It started with the Speaker. This is not the first time he has shown partisan behaviour.

Politicians are all about representing the people when campaigning to get the votes.

Once elected they just do what they want or what the party wants. Why have a democracy?

Thank you to Medicine Hat residents for standing up to find out what their tax dollars are being spent on.

If the city would include a memo outlining the phases of water conservation, sent out with the utility bill each month.

Why don’t we have better 5G in Medicine Hat? Telus should build more towers here. It’s ridiculous.

What’s the point of issuing a complaint to bylaw? Need updated bylaw regarding RVs, trailers for hauling equipment and skid steer on residential front driveway or parked on street for weeks. Eye sore and certainly not a selling feature for neighbouring properties.

With our premier’s quote on the front page of Friday’s News, “I’m trying to figure out what’s happened.” I may or may not be taking it out of context, but it does sum up most of her tenure as premier.

Read mayors Facebook page regarding information she requested in February. Fantastic read and very detailed. Everyone should read it. I have no respect for council members.

That something is rotten in the City of Medicine Hat, which now has its own Ides of March to beware of. Perhaps another like W. Shakespeare could turn out quite a take about local, perhaps loco politicians and their doings and undoing, as they stage a tragedy of errors, which could lead to a new descriptive of our fair city, henceforth to be, or not to be called the ‘gaslighting city.’ Alas, something indeed stinks in all hell for a basement, and there should be a bylaw, although, as it is with poetic justice, those who dip their sword in poison, so to speak, will eventually have it turned upon themselves.
