Sonja Far­rell couldn’t find a high-qual­ity and safe leather col­lar for Percy, her sil­ver-spot­ted British Shorthair, so she quit her job in 2013 to start Lon­don-based Cheshire & Wain. Back in 2013, leather col­lars with break­away buck­les sim­ply didn't ex­ist, so she had to de­sign one from scratch. It took over six months, mul­ti­ple it­er­a­tions, and ma­te­rial test­ing to fi­nalise the leather safety col­lar de­sign. Since then, she’s seen her colour-pop leather col­lars (think candy floss pink, mint green, and le­mon sor­bet), made with veg­etable-tanned Ital­ian leather and fit­ted with a brass buckle, bell, and dis­creet break­away buckle, fea­tured in

Vogue, Elle Dec­o­ra­tion, The Tele­graph, and Time Out Lon­don, to name a few. Op­tions to per­son­al­ize the col­lar with a name or add a shark-tooth-shaped semi-pre­cious-stone charm to of­fer heal­ing vibes to your fe­line make the col­lars even more spe­cial.
