The Grenada Board of Tourism is offering discounts this summer and fall at hotels and resorts in the Caribbean country that includes the islands of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

You can stay at the Blue Horizons Garden Resort, where the Super Summer Value Pack includes seven nights for $590 U.S. a person (based on double occupancy) or $1,038 U.S. (single) now through Dec. 15.

This package also includes breakfast, welcome drinks, round-trip transfers to the airport, scuba diving lessons, a three-hour sightseeing tour and yoga classes. The price also covers fees and taxes.

Or you can get 30 per cent off when you book three nights or more with the Summer and Fall Special at the True Blue Bay resort. Their discounted rates start at $112 U.S. per room, per night (the 10 per cent tax and 10 per cent service charge are extra, however) and apply to stays now through July 31, Sept. 15 to 30 and during all of October. On Carriacou, you could stay at the Bayaleau Point Cottages at Windward Bay for prices starting at $65 per cottage, per night. British Airways is selling seats during what it says is the time of year with its lowest return-trip adult fares between several Canadian cities and London. The cheapest months to fly are October through March, when you can get a Montreal-to-London round-trip fare of $400 (taxes, fees, charges and surcharges will add approximately $627 to $674 per adult ticket, however).

Although BA usually has a special around the Christmas holidays, these low fares cover a longer period. The hitch is that to get these prices, you should reserve early. BA’s cheapest fares are subject to change and are limited to a certain number of seats per flight. The nearly four-hour rail excursion includes a gourmet threecourse meal and a 40-minute stop with admission to the Beaulne Museum at the Château Arthur-Osmore Norton in Coaticook, dedicated to a philanthropist who made his fortune manufacturing a jack for the railway industry.
