■ Volunteer West Island needs volunteer handymen to help seniors with small repairs such as a leaky faucet, a door that does not close well, etc. No major repairs. Gas consumption paid.
■ An organization that provides support and services for individuals suffering from mental illness needs volunteer cooks on Tuesday mornings as well as a volunteer to teach basic computer skills to a group on Tuesday afternoons and/ or Wednesday mornings.
■ An organization that raises funds to purchase equipment and other items necessary to help children with cancer needs volunteers (ages 19+) to help as bartenders and/or cooks at their upcoming fundraising Softball Tournament in Kirkland on Aug. 4 and 5 between 5 and 11 p.m.

■ A Dorval woman in her 70s would like a male volunteer to spend time with her husband (who is confined to a wheelchair) on Mondays from 10 a.m. to noon. He loves to play cards and chat.
■ A 98-year-old woman in Dorval would like a female volunteer to spend time with her at home while her daughter attend’s Mass on Sunday morning. She would enjoy having the time to chat.
■ A blind 98-year-old Greek woman in Ste. Geneviève would like a female volunteer to visit with her or read to her in Greek once a week.
■ An elderly woman living in D.D.O. is in need of a volunteer to visit with her so that her husband can do some errands. She is a retired nurse and enjoys cards, board games and reading. They are a lovely couple in need of some help.
■ A woman in her 60s living in Pointe Claire with numerous health issues would like a volunteer to help her with occasional errands. She is quite isolated and would also enjoy going out for a coffee or quick lunch once in a while.
■ A moderately intellectually disabled man would like a male volunteer to accompany him on a train ride from Dorval to Ste. Anne de Bellevue once a week if possible. His mother would be able to drive the volunteer back to Dorval at the end of the ride.
■ A retired college teacher suffering from Parkinson’s disease in Roxboro needs help once a week with groceries and would enjoy going for a walk when the weather is nice.
■ An elderly woman in Pierrefonds would like a female volunteer, preferably someone who speaks Punjabi, to help her with groceries on a regular basis.
■ A senior woman in Baie d’Urfé would like a male volunteer to provide respite while she runs errands. Her husband has suffered a stroke resulting in neurological damage and cannot be left alone.
