RAONIC REACHES THIRD ROUND IN PARIS
PARIS — Canadian Milos Raonic reached the third round of the Paris Masters with a 6-7(4), 7-6(4), 6-3 victory over Jeremy Chardy of France on Wednesday. Raonic kept his hopes alive for a late spot in the eight-man field at the World Tour Finals in London which starts Monday. The 21-year-old from Thornhill, Ont., must reach the Sunday final in Paris and then hope for the right combination of results from other contenders for the last two spots in the event. Raonic faces American Sam Querrey in what promises to be a battle of serves. Querrey ousted second-seeded Novak Djokovic 0-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4 in the second round. It was the first time since the Miami Masters in March, 2010, that Djokovic has been eliminated so early in a tournament
