Donations in the Holiday Spirit
On December 5th, the students at Marymount Academy were collecting toys to benefit the Sun Youth Organization Christmas Basket Campaign. In preparation for this annual operation, Sun Youth needs 8000 brand new toys for boys and girls 0 to 12. The organization relies on the generosity of the public and companies to be able to have that many toys to put under the Christmas Tree. Sun Youth would like to thank the many people who donated toys during the Marymount Academy Toy Drive, the students who took part in the event and everyone from the staff at Marymount for making this toys drive a reality. Special thanks also go to CJAD radio host Sharman Yarnell for all the efforts she put in organizing this wonderful event. In preparation for its Christmas Basket Campaign which will assist some 18,000 underprivileged Montrealers, Sun Youth is always happy to receive support for its faithful partners. The TD Bank branch on Mont-Royal is one of them. Every year, the good folks at TD financially support various Sun Youth initiatives such as the Sun Youth Bike Patrol, the organization’s summer camp or its Annual Financing Campaign. This year is no exception and Sun Youth is proud to be able to count on TD’s support with a generous donation of $2000.
