Fighter St-pierre shouldn’t be avoiding Silva

A true champion fighter demands for himself and the public the next greatest available challenge (Gazette, Dec. 7, “GSP has ‘unfinished business’ ”). He doesn’t avoid this under the guise of “unfinished business.” Failing this, he leaves the impression of fear and doubt in himself. Georges St-Pierre should tell Dana White he wants and now deserves the greatest UFC super fight in history — Georges St-Pierre vs. Anderson Silva — to be set up in Las Vegas, promoted heavily, with St-Pierre guaranteed $20 million and Silva $15 million. Both fighters would be expected to give the worldwide audience not a bore-fest, but an all-rounded battle leaving viewers satisfied. This is what the UFC should be about.
