‘We’re going to the dogs’ during NHL lockout

That often-used expression — “We’re going to the dogs” — took on a whole new meaning for me when, in last Saturday’s Gazette, all five Letters to the Sports Editor were associated with Michael Vick’s dogs. I formerly thought that we could survive the winter without NHL games. The letters have now convinced me that we cannot.
