Contempt is all the fashion

- DOUG CAMILLI camillimail@gmail.com

There has been an interesting development in the big (verbal) brawl between Lady Gaga and Kelly

Osbourne. You remember: Gaga complained about Kelly’s E! Channel cable show (with Joan Rivers), Fashion Police, as being too negative; Kelly’s mom, Sharon, fired back.

Now comes Jessica Paster, a “stylist” who dresses Emily Blunt and

Miranda Kerr, among others, telling the Telegraph that Kelly and Rivers have no right to an opinion because they “are not fashion people … Did (Kelly) go to school to be a lawyer? … to be a stylist? What gives Joan Rivers the right to talk about what people are wearing when she looks like she’s being injected by God knows what?”

So only “fashion people” are entitled to opinions about this stuff, I guess. You have been warned!

Meanwhile Lady Gaga’s classiness rating has taken yet another

hit, after Charlie Sheen told the The Daily Beast website this:

“She wanted me to do a music video with her that was going to be the first X-rated video … her going to this strip club, with Britney

Spears or somebody, and they’re dancers and I’m the customer.

“And she wanted to do a full striptease as a lap dance for me. She told me, ‘If there’s one person who should receive this X-rated lap dance, it’s you.’ ”

He says he was “flattered,” but she never followed through. Remember Tina Fey’s Golden

Globes joke, warning Taylor Swift to stay away from Michael J. Fox’s

son Sam, who was Mr. Golden Globe, sort of a mascot for the show?

Yeah, well, New York mag tracked down Michael J., and he wasn’t laughing: “Taylor Swift writes songs about everybody she goes out with, right? What a way to build a career.”

I wonder what Sam thinks of the idea.

He’s 23. Taylor’s 22. Michael is 51. Marketing news:

■ Rihanna is to launch her clothing collection, for River Island, with a catwalk show during London Fashion week next month, Vogue UK reports.

■ Jennifer Aniston has been named the new spokesmodel for Aveeno skin care goo. Watch for the ads soon.

■ Katie Holmes will appear in print ads for Alterna hair-care products, and is also going to become a co-owner of the company, says WWD. The ads will turn up in women’s mags starting in March. You’ll recall she just signed with Bobbi Brown cosmetics, too. Ask your dad about Christine

Keeler; he’ll remember. She was the key figure in a 1963 British sexand-security scandal that brought down a cabinet minister, John Pro

fumo. Almost everything about sex was more furtive in those days, and the Cold War was on, so this whole caper was really juicy.

But as time passes, almost everything becomes banal: now the scandal will become an Andrew Lloyd

Webber musical. “This is the best score Andrew’s written in years,” lyricist Don Black told the Telegraph.

And he told the N.Y. Post that he and others have been “working with Andrew all year in Barbados and Marbella. Andrew doesn’t believe in roughing it.”
