THIS WEEK’S TOP TV TIPS
SATURDAY
Ripper Street
Set in the east end of London, six months after the last Jack the Ripper killing, this BBC production is a fictionalized journey into the heart of Whitechapel – a small area of just over one square mile (3 sq. km) that is packed with some 67,000 dispossessed losers. In the premiere, a young woman is found brutally murdered – a killing that new H Division boss Det. Insp. Edmund Reid ( Matthew Macfadyen) and his loyal team of Det. Sgt. Bennett Drake ( Jerome
Flynn) and U.S. Army surgeon Capt. Homer Jackson ( Adam Rothenberg) think is new evil at work.

When several top execs can’t log on to their accounts, following Amy’s downloading of incriminating emails, Tyler scrambles to find a solution to the security breach that won’t implicate him or Amy.

House of Lies
This edgy series also returned with new episodes last week, with management consultant Marty ( Don Chea
dle), the equally smart Jeannie ( Kristen Bell) and the high-living POD team trying to stay a step ahead of the competition. In tonight’s episode they head to Las Vegas to help an aging casino regain its lustre. They’re joined by new partner-level consultant Tamara ( Nia Long), Marty’s rival from business school.
The Movie Network Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan From flesh-eating ants to the world’s largest centipede, actor Dominic
Monaghan ( Lost) gets up close and personal with some of the ugliest-looking insects and reptiles in the world. The premiere finds him paddling through the snake-infested rice fields of Vietnam’s Mekong Delta and swimming in a crocodileinfested lake in search of the Giant Water Bug. Ugh.
