BULLDOGS STILL STRUGGLING

Rick Schofield scored the winning goal and added an assist as the Rochester Americans beat the Hamilton Bulldogs 6-3 in American Hockey League action Monday. Schofield’s winner came at 1:47 of the second period, just 1:23 after Joey Tenute’s goal erased a 3-0 Rochester lead. Kevin Porter also had a goal and an assist for Rochester (21-15-3), while Kevin Sundher, Frederick Roy, Evan Rankin and Brian Flynn had the other goals. Louis Leblanc and Zack Stortini also scored for the Bulldogs (13-21-6). Robert Mayer made 28 saves for Hamilton.
