The Impact is shining in the Florida sun.

Montreal improved to 2-0 at the preseason Walt Disney World Pro Classic tournament with a 4-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rowdies on Wednesday in Orlando, Fla. Designatedplayer Marco Di Vaio scored twice, while Felipe Martins and Sanna Nyassi added singles for the Impact, which led 3-1 at halftime. Midfielder Andrea Pisanu had two assists.

“It was a good game and I saw a lot of positives, including some good ball movement in both the first and second half,” new head coach Marco Schallibaum said.

“There is still a lot of work to do in terms of the rhythm and pace, but it’s only our second game. We saw some things in the game that we worked on in training, so that’s nice to see as well.”

Added midfielder Justin Mapp: “I think things are starting to fall into place. We are learning each other’s movement and we want to be on the same page for the start of the season.”

The Impact opened the preseason tournament with a 2-1 win over Sporting Kansas City on Saturday. Montreal will play a preseason friendly against the Philadelphia Union on Friday night in Jacksonville, Fla., before returning to Orlando to face D.C. United on Saturday in the Disney Pro Classic.

The Impact will open its second season in Major League Soccer on March 2 in Seattle and then play in Portland on March 9 before its home opener March 16 at Olympic Stadium against Toronto FC.
