Johansson didn’t get part, but she’s not misérable
Now it can be told: Scarlett Johansson says she auditioned for the role of Fantine in the Les Misérables movie because she has loved the story since high school.
“I sang my little heart out,” she told Broadway.com. But “I auditioned with laryngitis.”
Anne Hathaway won the gig, and ScarJo now graciously says that “looking at the film now, there’s no possible way I ever could have topped that performance.”

Anyway, the world is pretty sure the lad is called Angelo.
The singer is being mysteriously coy, saying in January that “I am not sharing his name at the moment. It is very personal to me. I am enjoying him on my own.”
