Richard Pound’s voice of reason

Re: “A challenge: Let Quebec succeed” (Opinion, April 13)

Richard Pound’s opinion piece hit all the right notes. He comes across as the voice of reason in a sea of self-serving politicians and people who are unable to — or simply choose not to — see the bigger picture.

For far too long, we have watched Montreal decline, at the expense of the rest of Canada. This is still very much a vibrant city, in a spectacular location. And multilingualism is the future, as I can personally attest to and which the general population already knows!

If we choose to work together and harness all our expertise, we can make this city and province, the envy of all.
