MLB players’ 42s honour Robinson
BOSTON — Baseball held its fifth annual Jackie Robinson Day on Monday, the 66th anniversary of his breaking Major League Baseball’s colour barrier with the Brooklyn Dodgers. All uniformed personnel throughout baseball were asked to wear Robinson’s number 42. A movie about Robinson’s integration into the majors, 42, is currently in theatres.
