JEAN COUTU SELLS 72.5M SHARES IN RITE AID

Pharmacy retailer Jean Coutu Group has sold up to 72.5 million of its common shares in Rite Aid Corp. The Montreal company says the shares were sold at an average price of $2.20 U.S. per share for $158.5 million. Jean Coutu still owns more than 100 million shares in the U.S.-based pharmacy chain.
