Hewitt opens training centre
Hewitt Equipment Ltd. has opened a new $8-million training centre at its headquarters at 4225 TransCanada in Pointe-Claire.
Company officials said Tuesday the centre will be used for training mechanics, operators and technicians on heavy machinery and other Hewitt equipment used in road construction, mining and other industries.
The facility, covering 55,000 square feet, is equipped with five bays and five classrooms.
Last month, Hewitt launched a website, traininghewitt.ca, aimed at keeping machine operators up to date with the latest news.
Hewitt Equipment Ltd. was founded in 1952. It is the authorized dealer of Caterpillar equipment in Quebec.
