Adults aren’t setting a good example

Re: “School boards adapt to sexting” (Gazette, Nov. 22)

It is commendable that school boards are taking positions and creating policies to combat bad behaviour associated with sexting.

Unfortunately, though, it is an uphill battle to educate our youth when they are surrounded by a world of adults preoccupied with sex. Consider the images of hyper-sexual rock singers, magazines featuring the “sexiest man/woman alive,” and Hollywood with its latest trend of celebrities parading the red carpet with the most revealing clothing. With this constant barrage, no wonder our children are confused about right and wrong.
