GOOD NEWS/BAD NEWS IN CAROLINA

-

The Carolina Hurricanes, who are the lowest-scoring team in the NHL, had some good news and some bad news this week. The good news is that Jeff Skinner returned to the lineup after missing 11 games with an upper-body injury. The bad news is that Alexander Semin is out indefinitely with a concussion. Semin was injured last Saturday when he was rocked by a legal hit from Alex Pietrangelo of the St. Louis Blues. There is added concern in this case because Semin suffered a concussion at the end of last season.
