There are plenty of wolves left on Wall Street

- DOUG CAMILLI camillimail@gmail.com

Have you been following the controversy over Martin Scorsese’s picture The Wolf of Wall Street? Some people say it glorifies the cocaine/yachts/prostitutes/ fraud “masters of the universe” lifestyle that preceded the 2008-09 financial crash. Star Leonardo DiCaprio felt moved to defend the picture — not very convincingly — against all the criticism.

Well, Businessinsider.com went to a screening at a theatre “behind the Goldman Sachs building” right near Wall Street, and discovered that the “finance-heavy audience” had a “gleeful reaction” to the misbehaviour of Jordan Belfort, Leo’s character. The audience cheered the cocaine and the yacht, and really whooped when Belfort, forced by the feds to wear a transmitter, slips somebody a note saying, “Don’t incriminate yourself. I am wearing a wire.”

Spotlight couple: Sean Penn and

Charlize Theron.

No, really. They spent New Year’s together at his place in Hawaii, and flew back to L.A. together the next day. These two have been friends for a long time.

Penn is 53. Theron is 38.

Nigella Lawson has a new drug. Appearing on ABC’s Good Morning America the other day, she said she had a bad 2013, what with her divorce and the revelations about her cocaine use.

“You know, since then, I’ve eaten a lot of chocolate,” she said.

Ha ha. But note her PR strategy: not hiding away, she’s right out there in public, charming talk- show hosts and carrying on. This is known in the business as protecting brand value; Nigella’s good at it. Not by coincidence, she appeared on Good Morning America the day of the season première of the cooking show The Taste, also on ABC, on which she is a judge.

A few months ago, Taylor Swift made a move on English actor Douglas Booth, says the N.Y. Daily News. He ran like a startled hare, but later they dated a couple of times. Now he’s not returning her calls.

At some November Tinseltown party, Swift was almost pursuing Booth around the room, the paper says, but ended up in the bathroom telling Hailee Steinfeld about her disappointment at his disinterest. (Doug and Hailee co-starred in last fall’s Romeo & Juliet movie.)

“Taylor kept on making an effort to flirt with Douglas, but he gave her the cold shoulder and was extremely dismissive towards her,” the paper’s Nameless Insider says.

They’ve been seen together in London since then, but now, the source says, “he just wants to be friends” and was “quite taken aback about how keen Taylor was.”

He’s 21. She’s 24. Beauty secrets of the stars: Actress and Dior spokesmodel Eva Herzigova says she finds that vodka is a big help in making her look good.

She uses it as a hair rinse, she told the French edition of Marie Claire mag, “to lighten my blond hair ... and it really works!”

But vodka, while necessary, is not sufficient. Eva said the rest of her formula is “never too much sun, drink plenty of water, rest and feel loved.” She’s 40.
