Heigl heads toward a more positive State of Affairs

- DOUG CAMILLI tellcamilli@gmail.com

Katherine Heigl’s retreat from the big screen is almost complete.

I thought her 2012 movie, One for the Money, in which she played

Janet Evanovich’s character Stephanie Plum, was actually pretty good, but I seem to have been almost alone in that view. A string of bombs and a reputation as an unpleasant co-worker have caused Heigl’s movie opportunities to dwindle.

But now there’s a little good news for her and her fans: NBC has ordered a pilot for her drama series State of Affairs. She plays the usual maverick CIA officer, assigned to White House intelligence liaison duty. You could write the rest yourself.

The Hollywood Reporter, which had the story, says State of Affairs is “described as Scandal meets The West Wing.”

Spotlight couple: Actor Michael Fassbender’s latest is Romanian model/actor/star-dater Madalina

Ghenea, formerly Gerard Butler’s arm candy. They were spotted together in Romania, where he’s shooting a movie.

She was also linked romantically (as the euphemism goes) with Leo

nardo DiCaprio.

She’s 25. Fassbender’s 36.

Gisele Bündchen, who’s been on the Pantene payroll in Brazil since 2007, will now also front for the hair-products brand globally.

This is amusing, considering she recently told the Associated Press that she doesn’t even own a hairbrush: “In my job, you have to remember, people are brushing my hair every day. You have to remember the last thing I want (on a day off) is a brush in my hair!”

Simon Helberg, who plays Howard on The Big Bang Theory, is expecting his second child with his wife, actor Jocelyn Towne. Their daughter, Adeline, will be two this spring.

Simon’s 33. Jocelyn is 37.

Justin Bieber and his entourage got through $75,000 in a Miami strip club Monday night, TMZ.com reports. Somebody speaking for the King of Diamonds Gentlemen’s Club told the website that Bieber “got $75k in $1 bills and went wild.” Unfortunately there were no details on just what “went wild” means in this context.

After that story about drugs in his California mansion, JB deemed it prudent to get out of the state. So he took a ski trip to Colorado and then hit Miami.

You’ll recall that Kate Moss posed undressed in Playboy last fall, to mark her 40th birthday, and the magazine’s 60th.

Now Playboy is suing Harper’s Bazaar mag. The beef is that Harper’s copied a photo of Kate in bunny ears and a leotard on its website without permission, and provided a link to some other site that had nine of Playboy’s not-safe-for-work shots. Playboy is asking for $150,000 per photo in compensation.

To the surprise of pretty much nobody, Johnny Depp and Amber

Heard are engaged, says Us Weekly. Just the other day I had a story about her trying hard to hide a ring as they came out of a restaurant. Now she’s given up on secrecy, apparently.

In fact, “the proposal happened a while ago,” the mag’s source says. “She just didn’t wear the ring” until recently.

She’s 27. Johnny’s 50.
