Confirmed: Lorde really is a teenager

- DOUG CAMILLI tellcamilli@gmail.com

All you Lorde birthers and truthers have been silenced — well, should have been silenced — now that her birth certificate has been made public.

A lot of people are amazed that the fast-rising singer is still only 17. So a website called The Hairpin ordered a copy of her New Zealand birth certificate, somehow.

And there’s the evidence for all to see: Ella Marija Lani YelichO’Connor was born on Nov. 7, 1996 in Takapuna. Let’s see here: 96 plus 17, uhh, carry the one; umm, and then November … so, yup; she’s not even 17 and a half yet!

Hairpin’s Emma Carmichael, reporting this, wrote that the document “effectively shuts down any lingering doubts” about her age.

Jonah Hill accepted the celebrity equivalent of an unpaid internship to work with Martin Scorsese. Word got out recently that Hill, a reasonably well-established character actor, took a role in this movie The Wolf of Wall Street for peanuts.

“They gave me the lowest amount of money possible, that was their offer,” he said on Howard Stern’s radio show the other day. How much is that, you ask? “Something like $60,000 before commissions and taxes” — that’s the union minimum, as set by the Screen Actors Guild.

That’s actually pretty insulting, it seems to me, but Jonah rose like a trout to the offer, because Scorsese is his favourite director, he said. “This (rude word) isn’t about money. You should do things that you care about.”

Kate Hudson has recruited her sons to be props in her new magazine ads for Ann Taylor, the fashion designer.

One ad in the series shows her, elegantly dressed of course, with her son Ryder, whose dad is her first hubby, Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes. The other has her and Bingham, whose dad is Muse singer Matt Bellamy.

The campaign “really captures my life as a working mom and how we all balance those parts of our lives,” Kate told the New York Daily News. Kate’s 34. Ryder is 10. Bingham is 2.

I don’t know what the advertising regulators will say about Sam Zherka’s new project, and it’s an abominable way to treat tequila. But you’ve got to admire his chutzpah.

He owns a stripper bar on Times Square in New York, and is recruiting celebrity drunks to help him market “vodkila”: half vodka, half tequila.

“We are going to have a one-of-akind ad campaign,” Zherka told the N.Y. Post, “in which, [ideally] someone like Lindsay Lohan [would] hold a bottle of the product saying, ‘Vodkila ruined my life!’ ”

He says he’s also looking at Charlie Sheen and Dennis Rodman, and adds “Too bad Justin Bieber is only 19, he’d be perfect.”

Spotlight couple: Orlando Bloom seems to be managing pretty well since his split with his model wife Miranda Kerr, which happened last October.

The other night the actor arrived at The Roger Room, a trendy L.A. saloon, on his Ducati motorcycle with French actress Nora Arnezeder behind him.

He’s 37. She’s 24.
