Rich artist Damien Hirst explains his childish vision

- DOUG CAMILLI tellcamilli@gmail.com

But he keeps the money: Damien

Hirst, often called the world’s richest artist, tells the Observer that he uses his children’s ideas for his art, since kids can produce “much better” work than adults.

Hirst gave an example and went on to say, “The world’s a very complicated place and sometimes you look at it and you feel like a child and that’s the sort of best viewpoint. In the face of the world, we’re always children.”

Translation: You fools will buy anything I put my name on.

Just read Tom Wolfe’s little essay The Painted Word. He perfectly punctures the whole “contemporary art” balloon.

Oh, shut up: In an interview done before last weekend’s TV special marking the 50th anniversary of the Fab Four’s debut on the Ed Sullivan Show, Harry Styles told the British mag Top of the Pops that he and his One Direction bandmates recently “sat and watched the film of the Beatles arriving in America.”

It seemed familiar. “To be honest, that really was like us. Stepping off the plane, the girls, the madness. It was exactly the same as when we got there — just 50 years earlier.” Really? Seriously? He had the grace to add this: “None of us think we’re in the same league as them music-wise. We’d be total fools if we did. Fame-wise, it’s probably even bigger, but we don’t stand anywhere near them in terms of music.”

It’s all over for Marc Anthony and his rich-kid girlfriend, Chloe

Green, after about a year, says Us Weekly.

Strictly speaking, Anthony is still married to Jennifer Lopez — their 2012 divorce has not been finalized — but he’s been with Green all the same. Her dad is Sir Philip Green, CEO of the company that runs Topshop, BHS and other clothing retailers.

Chloe and Marc are blaming busy schedules for the split, Nameless Insider told Us Weekly. This thing probably never really had a chance of lasting too long: He’s 45 and she’s 22.

You’d think Robin Wright is old enough to know better, but evidently not: She and her boy-toy fiancé, actor Ben Foster, have matching tattoos, she told the Telegraph in England. She has his first initial tattooed on her wedding-ring finger, and he has hers on his same finger.

“I’ve been so anti-tattoos my whole life. But doing this felt right because we’re not that traditional,” she told the paper.

She’s 47. He’s 33.

Owen Wilson and personal trainer Caroline Lindqvist have named their baby — or more precisely, I suspect, Caroline has done so: The lad, born Jan. 30, is named Finn

Lindqvist Wilson.

Owen doesn’t actually, you know, live with the mothers of his children, but he is interested, in an arm’s-length way.

“He has been visiting his new baby almost every day,” Don’t Usemyname tells Us Weekly. “He lives right around the corner and comes by for a little bit of time each afternoon. He is planning to be a part of the baby’s life, and providing financial support.”
