STARS HOLDING SPECIAL EVENTS

The Montreal Stars will have a couple of special events as they wrap up the regular season in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League next weekend with a pair of games against the Boston Blades at the Étienne Desmarteau Arena. The Stars, who have run away with regular-season honours in the CWHL this season, will hold a Let’s Beat Breast Cancer benefit game next Saturday at 5:30 p.m. A silent auction to benefit the Wellness Initiative at the Cedar’s Breast Cancer Clinic will include Olympic memorabilia and the Stars’ game-worn pink jerseys. A number of Canada’s goldmedal Olympians will be on hand for the game. Next Sunday at 1:30 p.m., there will be a number of giveaways during the annual fan appreciation day.
