ORMSTOWN’S LEFORT SHINES DOWN SOUTH
Sarah Lefort of Ormstown in one of 10 finalists for the Patty Kazmaier Award, which goes to the top player in NCAA Division I women’s hockey. A sophomore forward, she is the fourth-leading scorer in the U.S. women’s ranks with 29 goals and 22 assists in 34 games. Lefort was part of the Canadian team that won the IIHF world under-18 championship and played her prep-school hockey at Stanstead College. The Terriers open defence of their Hockey East championship this weekend after posting a 21-12-1 record during the regular season.
