IBERIA AIRLINE PIONEERS USE OF IPADS

Pilots on Spain’s national carrier will soon be carrying a lot less paperwork. Iberia has announced that its cockpits will be equipped with electronic flight bags, replacing traditional paper checklists, manuals and manifests with iPads. The move is expected to increase safety and efficiency, and save an estimated $228,000 Cdn per month in fuel costs on shortand medium-haul flights through reduced weight.
