CENTRE DU RASOIR, BOUTIK ELECTRIK MERGE
Two Quebec-based chains focused on the sale and service of small appliances are joining forces. Centre du Rasoir, with 60 stores, and Boutik Electrik, with 20 stores, “share a very similar store format and product range, with little overlap in store locations,” they said in a communiqué announcing the merger. The competitive dynamics of the marketplace led the companies to rethink their approach “in order to protect the future of more than 300 jobs throughout Quebec and Ontario,” said Maurice Tousson, president of CDREM Group, owner of Centre du Rasoir.
