Le 215 Redfern

No two condo units are alike

- MEGAN MARTIN SPECIAL TO THE GAZETTE

If you’re l ooking for luxurious real estate on the island of Montreal, Westmount is one of the best places to start. The city offers a wide range of properties including enormous single-family homes, high-end townhouses, and a handful of condo developments. Taking a walk through the rolling streets of Westmount, it’s easy to see why buyers and developers alike are drawn to the area. Its lush greenery, impressive landscaping, and affluent properties meld perfectly to create extremely attractive neighbourhoods. That’s why the experts behind the condo development Le 215 Redfern chose this community for their luxury project.

Construction began on the single-phase, 61-unit building in August 2012 and, at 85-per-cent sold, owners are undoubtedly eager to move in. For some, the wait won’t be much longer, as delivery of the first three floors is expected in June.

The building was designed with custom granite and almost floor-to-ceiling windows by wellknown architect Karl Fischer. As for the condo interiors, no two units are alike.

“We work closely with all of our buyers to not only customize the layouts of the condos, but also to personalize the finishing materials to their discerning taste,” said Amara Gelinas, sales office manager at Les Condominiums Redfern Inc.

“Our in-house design team has even created custom electrical design details and multi-function rooms to meet the demands of our clients; our units have stunning views and have been scrutinized to the last detail to offer a residence like no other on the Montreal market.”

Condos in Le 215 Redfern range in size from 1,200 to 3,700 square feet, including two- to three-bedroom units with the option of an extra room. The condos are priced from $850,000 to $4.5 million including GST, PST, one private indoor parking spot, an indoor storage room, Miele kitchen appliances, and a wide choice of luxury finishings.

All units include some form of outdoor space, whether it’s a private garden, loggia or private rooftop terrace with gas connection for barbecuing. High ceilings, eight-foot solid core wood doors, and aluminum fitted tilt-and-turn windows are just a few of the features included in the Redfern condos.

“Buyers can also choose from a range of marble or granite options for their entranceways, and hardwood for the flooring, including seven-inch-wide plank oak floors in custom colours,” Gelinas said. “There are also 24 different standard countertops for kitchens and bathrooms in quartz, granite or marble for owners to choose from.”

The master bathrooms of the condos feature floor-to-ceiling marble, while powder rooms will be fitted with granite. The plumbing fixtures, which include rain showers in all bathrooms, are from the Hansgrohe and the Philippe Starck 3 collections from Duravit.

The kitchens are impressive in size and feature 12- to 18-foot islands, gas connections and high-end appliances.

All condos include spotlights, architectural lighting details, and chandelier connections. Units on the fifth and sixth floors have the distinct advantage of coming with a built-in gas fireplace.

The building provides several amenities for condo owners to enjoy.

“There’s a 24-hour doorman, high-speed elevators, valet parking, concierge service, and a full gym with commercial grade equipment,” Gelinas said.

“Buyers will also love the 40-foot UV filtered rooftop pool with retractable glass windows, and three rooftop terraces offer- ing unobstructed views of the city.”

As if that weren’t enough to spark your interest in the development, its location is simply unbeatable. Le 215 Redfern is steps away from schools, religious institutions, the new hospital, Westmount Park, and sev- eral shopping hot spots including Greene and Victoria Aves., and the mall at Place Alexis Nihon mall. The area is also extremely well served by public transit, offering quick access to the bus and métro systems.

“Our buyers are so attracted to the development’s excellent and beautiful location,” Gelinas said. “Our attention to detail in terms of soundproofing and personalization are a huge draw as well. Imagine being able to work hand in hand with designers to build your dream condo from the ground up? You can’t get better than that.”
