Scotland raises a dram to beaches
Better known for haggis and fine malt whisky, Scotland now also can claim two of the top beaches in the world. The influential Travel magazine has named two remote Scottish beaches among its list of the best 50 in the world. Traigh na Teampail on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides and Sandwood Bay in Sutherland joined illustrious sands from traditional beauty spots such as Venice Beach in California, Bondi in Australia and Ipanema in Rio de Janeiro in the publication’s roundup.
