Temporary move for Islanders?

-

Ed Mangano, the Nassau County executive, caught the NHL by surprise when he suggested the New York Islanders might be returning to the Nassau Coliseum in the future. In his State of the County address, Mangano said the county was building a practice facility and offices for the team, and that the Islanders might move back to the Coliseum after some improvements to the building. NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly said there was no indication the Islanders’ impending move to Brooklyn next season was temporary. The Islanders have signed a 25-year lease to play in the Barclays Center beginning next season.
