Martlets advance to CIS semifinals

Olympic gold medallist Mélodie Daoust scored three goals to lead the top-seeded McGill Martlets to an 8-2 win over the host Calgary Dinos in the first round of the CIS Women’s Hockey Championship. The win moved the Martlets into Saturday’s semifinal against St. Francis Xavier University, the Atlantic champion. Kelsie Moffatt, Leslie Olds, Gabrielle Davidson, Elizabeth Hillier and Joanne Cagianos each added a goal for the Martlets.
