UPAC raids five North Shore locations
Searches were conducted at five locations on the North Shore of Montreal by the Unité permanente anticorruption (UPAC) Tuesday.
UPAC spokesperson Anne-Frédérick Laurence said Tuesday morning that about 70 officers were participating in the operation, including agents specializing in municipal business.
The operation’s scope included evidence gathering and meeting with those considered “pertinent” to UPAC investigations. No arrests have been made.
The anti-corruption unit would not identify the locations of the raids, but Dominic Cayer, president of holding company Groupe Domco, said he was not “personally searched,” though his business was.
In a statement, he said the investigators searched for documents “linked with public work in the city of Blainville.”
Domco’s three main businesses are Imprimerie Domco Cayer, Impression prioritaire and Tapage communications.
