The Société de transport de Montréal announced it will offer promotional rates for those who use public transit and the Bixi bikesharing program.

For those who buy annual OPUS cards, they will receive a $20 reduction on their annual Bixi membership, and $39 off their OPUS membership, which will be applicable on the 11th month of the year.

Members of OPUS and Company — a program whereby employers subsidize the purchase of monthly passes and the STM matches the subsidy — will receive 20 per cent off an annual corporate Bixi membership.

Maestro members (the STM’s VIP program) will get three free Bixi rides.

Anyone who buys a June, July or August OPUS card will get a rebate of $15 on a monthly Bixi membership.

Bixi memberships also will be on sale at six STM points of sale: The Berri-UQAM, Jean-Talon, Lionel-Groulx, Côte-Vertu and Honoré Beaugrand métro stations, and the Fairview bus terminus in Pointe-Claire.

Bixi stations are also now shown on the STM’s website.
