Ex-legislator, reporter to run for Liberals
An ex-member of the legislature and a reporter will run for the Quebec Liberals in two provincial byelections. Sébastien Proulx will represent the party in Jean-Talon, while Vérony que Tremblay will try to win in Chauveau.
Jean-Talon has been vacant since Liberal cabinet minister Yves Bolduc quit politics in February, and Chauveau is no longer represented in the national assembly because of Gerard Deltell’s decision to seek the federal Conservative nomination in Louis Saint-Laurent.
Proulx was a member of the legislature for the Action democratique du Quebec between 2007 and 2008.
Tremblay worked until recently for a Quebec City radio station and previously was employed by LCN, TVA’s all-news network.
