Man, 33, injured in Pierrefond­s mugging

A man was beaten and his smartphone stolen in a Pierrefond­s parking lot, April 23.

The 33-year-old victim was talking on his phone and walking through a grocery-store parking lot on Meighen St. near Gouin Blvd. W. just after 8 p.m. when he was approached by two men in a black car.

Montreal Police Constable Daniel Maheu from Station 3 said the two suspects exited the vehicle and attacked the victim, punching him in the head multiple times.

The suspects grabbed the victim’s Samsung Galaxy S3 phone and drove off.

The victim was cut and bruised but did not want to go to the hospital.

The suspect driving the car is white and around 30 years old. The second suspect has light-brown skin and is around 25 years old. Both have shaved heads and were wearing dark clothing.
