IT’S ALL ABOUT THE WEATHER

-

We talk about it when it’s good. We complain about it when it’s bad. We wonder what it will be tomorrow. We make plans for the weekend depending on it. We are always interested in the weather. And this week, we asked to see your best weather photos.

The sun, how it sets and how it brings out the brightest of blues in the sky proved to be popular subjects.

This week’s photo of the week is courtesy of Peter Zeeman of StLazare, who posted a photograph of a bird standing on a person’s head as it stops for a quick snack. It was perfect birdwatching weather, he claims. Congratulations. Also on this page are a few honourable mentions.

THE NEXT THEME: WHAT ARE YOU PLANTING?

May 24 usually marks the start to the planting season. Gardeners of all sorts get out there and begin the task of planting flowers and vegetables in their yards. Are you trying something new this year? Planning on making a big show of colour?

What you will be planting? Go ahead, show off a bit. Rock gardens, flower pots, deck displays. We want to seem them all.

Show us your best shots. From seedlings to full blooms: what are you planting?

Send us an image. We will be publishing a collection of photographs that are submitted both online and in the next print edition of the West Island Gazette.

Go to montrealgazette.com. Scroll down the home page until you see the West Island tab. Click on it. On the West Island page, look for the “Post Your Photos Here” box on the right-hand side. Then, follow the instructions. Send us your best shots.
