Treat taxpayers like clients, not children

Shaming the taxpayers in the Sud-Ouest is a shameful idea. Personally, if I was running a borough, I would treat the taxpayers as clients, not has misbehaving children.
However, I think you might see a ton of pink shaming signs popping up for every pothole, untreated frostheave, unpainted traffic line, unnecessary detour and poorly managed construction zone. On my small block alone, I envision five to 10 signs on a typical day.
Politicians should put their own glass houses in order before they pick up stones — and think twice before throwing those stones at houses in which their paycheques are written. Tim MacKinnon, Montreal
