Road is a formula for disaster
Re: “Pierrefonds Blvd. drivers left in the dark — literally” (Montreal Gazette, July 8)
Thank you for publishing your story on the incredibly poor condition of Pierrefonds Blvd. W. It is a very dangerous road by anyone’s standards.
This is a large, well-populated area of million-dollar homes and condos with owners who pay a fortune in land and school taxes. All the governments are quick to collect our taxes, so hearing stories of finger-pointing doesn’t cut the mustard.
This stretch of Pierrefonds Blvd. is dangerous, has no markings, no speed-limit signage, no police enforcement and no lights.
This road is a formula for disaster and, when it happens, the people in this area must come together to hold our “public servants” personally responsible.
