Grammy-winning American alt-rock band Wilco are cross-promoting their latest album, Star Wars, on their current tour which pitstops at Metropolis (59 Ste-Catherine St. E.) tonight at 8. Opening act: William Tyler.

Actor and playwright Tony Calabretta’s new comedy Don’t Blame it on the Stork is about a Montreal family of Italian origin. The plot: a pregnant daughter and her anglo husband move into the top floor of her parents’ duplex. The play stars a stellar ensemble cast: Calabretta, Shawn Campbell, Guido Cocomello, Veronica Melis, Eleanor Noble, Dino Tavarone and Nadia Verrucci. It’s directed by showbiz veteran Antonio DiVerdis (a.k.a. songwriter/record producer Tony Green, who has worked with France Joli, Freddie James, Luba and Michelle Sweeney). The play began last week in the gorgeous Mirella and Lino Saputo Theatre at the Leonardo da Vinci Centre (8370 Lacordaire Blvd.) in St-Léonard (free parking) and runs to Oct. 11; Tuesday to Saturday at 8 p.m., plus Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

L’Usine C (1345 Lalonde Ave.) kicks off its 20th season with the much-anticipate­d North American première of the 90-minute French-language play Une Raclette by French theatre collective Les Chiens de Navarre. Une Raclette is a satirical look at neighbours enjoying a calm, friendly meal that quickly degenerate­s into “an infinitely burlesque, joyous, devastatin­g ca. and controlled theatre.” Runs to Sept. 26 at 8 nightly.

Searles’ C’est Moi! C’est Chocolat! debut run sold out in 2013. Now Searles is back with his Englishlan­guage sequel C’est Moi! The Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal presents excerpts from its upcoming show From Opera to the Silver Screen with a few great arias that have left their mark on the world of cinema. If there is one sure thing in the world, it is that Montreal loves Melissa Etheridge and Melissa loves Montreal. Etheridge proudly remembers headlining the Montreal Forum back in the day. “Montreal was my first big show,” Etheridge said recently. Etheridge is back in town headlining Théâtre Maisonneuv­e tonight at 7:30.
