Kanye for president? He sounds like he means it
Kanye West is keeping this running-for-president joke going. Hey, it’s working for Donald Trump …
Vanity Fair mag asked Kanye if he was serious last month about seeking the big job in 2020. His answer: “Oh, definitely. I didn’t approach that because I thought it would be fun … No, the exact opposite … I’m like, ‘Wow, I’ve got five years before I go and run for office and I’ve got a lot of research to do … a lot of growing up to do.’ ”
Hmmm. As voters take elections less seriously, celebs from other fields are finding it easier to get into the game, for better or worse. This is especially true in the great republic to the south: Think of wrestler Jesse Ventura, actors Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger, pitcher Jim Bunning, comedian Al Franken, sidekick Sonny Bono … Hell, I’d vote for Kate Upton.

Usher, the R& B singer, has married his lady love Grace Miguel, and then they went off to Cuba for a honeymoon. I imagine she’s paying the bills, because she’s also his manager. They’ve been a couple for some time.
They Instagrammed a picture of themselves in which he showing his wedding ring.
He’s 36. She’s 44.
Just in time for primary season, Republican front-runner Donald Trump is going to be a grandpa again. His daughter Ivanka has announced she’s expecting her third child, early next year. Ivanka, an executive vice-president of The Trump Organization, is married to Jared Kushner, heir to a realestate fortune of his own.
Don’s position on this latest development is not quite as controversial as some of his other views: “So happy …” he said via Twitter.
Ivanka’s 33. Her other kids are Arabella, 4, and Joseph, almost 1.
More baby news: Now we know the name of Ashlee Simpson’s baby. She and hubby Evan Ross, Diana’s son, had a little girl July 30, but took until the other day go tell us, via Instagram, what their bundle of joy will be called.
Ashlee got out the exclamationmark shaker to season her photo caption: “Jagger Snow Ross! We love her so much!!! She is beyond everything!!! …”
Jagger is the couple’s first child together; Ashlee also has a son, Bronx, from her time with musician Pete Wentz.
Evan is 27. Ashlee is 30.

Adam Brody (you loved her on Gossip Girl, and him on The O.C.)
These two really like their privacy and didn’t even announce their marriage for a long time. They have said nothing in public, but TMZ.com dug out the birth certificate: Arlo Day Brody, a girl, was born Aug. 4 in Whittier, Calif.
Leighton is 29. Brody is 35.
Enough babies for one day? How about this? Glenn Close has divorced biotech businessman David Shaw after a nine-year marriage, her publicist announced this week. We don’t know when the split became official.
This is her third divorce. She’s 68.
