Quebec gives $5.2M to climate research
Quebec is contributing $5.2 million to the Ouranos consortium to conduct research on climate change, Environment Minister David Heurtel announced Friday. The money will go toward supporting the consortium's research programs including a new specific project designed to help the tourism industry adapt to climate change requirements. Created in 2001, Ouranos, a non-profit consortium, brings together researchers and institutions with a mission to acquire and develop knowledge on climate change.
