Legion begins annual poppy campaign

The Royal Canadian Legion's poppy campaign started Friday. Legion volunteers are ready with poppies and donation boxes at all the usual spots leading to Wednesday, Nov. 11. According to the campaign, more than 18 million Canadians wore a poppy last year in honour of Canada's fallen veterans. All funds raised in poppy campaigns go toward support for retired veterans and their families.
