Headline didn’t tell full story

Re: “2 Palestinians killed in Hebron” (Montreal Gazette, Oct. 30) I took the trouble to research the original Associated Press article; the headline I found with it online read “2 Palestinians killed in West Bank stabbing incidents.”

Headlines are important since many people read them without bothering with the rest of the article. I have always considered the Gazette to be a model of responsible journalism. It’s a shame this aberration on such an important current issue was allowed to slip through. Mortimer Levy, Côte-des-Neiges
